Hi! I have recently accepted the offer from PwC India on workday portal - about 10 days ago - it shows no tasks to complete and 'step completed' against review and sign offer letter under completed tasks. The DoJ is July 4th week. I was told that HR would communicate with onbaording emails, BGV emails etc. When do those emails come in generally?

I've never started a job without an official offer letter. I definitely don't think you should start a role without something in writing. They can change anything they want to if you don't have a signed offer letter that clearly outlines your role and your pay.

This is a smart approach, having everything in writing gives so much more security and peace of mind.
Oh no, I’ve actually had this happen to me! I never received an official offer letter and then at my six month review the manager was like hey where’s your offer letter so we can compare? Then we went back and forth for a while, we me trying to explain to him that I never got one. So now I always make sure to ask for an offer letter or something in writing before joining a company.

I can imagine how stressful it must have been to go back and forth with your manager about something you never even received. Having everything in writing really does save one from situations like this.

I think I would as that’s something to be trusted.
