This past year was ROUGH. Working with my PCP and hiring a therapist to meet every week has helped me SO much since January.

It’s all virtual. You can do phone sessions, video calls or messages through their app. You fill out a questionnaire to be matched with someone to help you. If they’re not the right fit for whatever reason, you can rematch. It took me 3 or 4 tries to find the person I meet with via phone every week for an hour. If you find the right fit, I hope you can become more comfortable talking with them over time. I hope you find something to help!

Hey, just talk to your doctor and they might refer you to a counsellor for talk therapy. I was in the same boat as you during first quarter of the year and it really helped me. I wish I had done it sooner :)
I felt myself getting really irritable and having a lot of dread/worry thoughts about stuff i would not normally dwell so much on. I did a virtual appointment with my family doctor and was prescribed low dose Zoloft. Because I was treating anxiety more than depression it worked more quickly and made me less inclined to do therapy. I am so so glad I did it. I feel like my old optimism is coming back, and I'm much easier to be around now. There are some side effects so i could see myself wanting to wean off at some point when I'm more solid. But I scheduled the appointment and got a prescription the same day, and I felt noticeably better 1-2 weeks later.
