Anyone and everyone should be treated equally. I support equal rights. If someone asked me to come support BEING LGBTQ I would have to kindly decline. Supporting RIGHTS is different than supporting BEING LGBTQ.

Yep. Perfect. I just wanted to make sure you were really being equal and it appears you are! So that’s fine!
Truly shocking to see how some of you are attacking the Quran. You may not like it because it goes against your lifestyle but their is a reason the law of Allah is the way it is. I hope you all read the story story of Lut (AS). An entire nation was destroyed because they practiced homosexuality including his wife because she supported it. I’m not preaching violence against the LGBT community but please do not try to change Islam to fit your lifestyle. What was haram 1400 years ago is still haram
May Allah guide us all! Ameen

Good one 👍🏽
I feel sorry for all of your coworkers working with such close minded people. How do y’all work in profession services? Im sure most of you are men too. I am a gay female Muslim - we exist. And y’all can continue to have your close minded views, you do not speak for other Muslims but rather for yourself (a bigot)

C1- sure, just hope you see what I’m saying. That’s all. I don’t care for the religion anymore, because as you said , we can’t change what’s set in stone lol. I’m only hoping that people see this and enough people seeing it can potentially make a difference in the eyes and ears of said scholars and imams :). Good night!

💯 support their rights!!! I’m vocal about it and I def boycott places if I find out they are anti lgbt. Like chick fil a.
Just to help people understand, one is not CHOOSING to be lgbt. They are born this way. Just like brown people are born brown, and black people are born black. I know it’s hard for some people in our community to understand this, but it needs to be understood! It is not haram to be lgbt. The world is changing for the better.
Was responding to C2. Good for you
My philosophy is always if it doesn't impact me I don't care what others do. I'm not a vocal supporter and never will be for LGBTQ rights Islamically, but I'm also not going to actively go against them having their rights. Them having their proper rights does not negatively impact me in any way so I have no reason to go out and negate any of their efforts.

Cool
Im not in support of the movement itself. Everyone should have equal rights. This concept is becoming far too normalized and I find it very concerning for the future generations.
I would not boycott a place if I find out they are anti lgbt.
As A1 said above, it is not haram to be lgbt, but to act on it is. I am not a scholar but these are my views

I’m not going to let an article tell me how I was born. Are you born brown? Or black? Or white? Yes , right? There are people in this world who are dumb and believe this nonsense. I didn’t read the article, it’s pure rubbish IMO , I’d probably pay a million dollars to be straight if I could. So please don’t come at me with articles that tell me I was not born gay. Miss me with that.
Morally I’m not in favor of the lifestyle. However, I respect their choice. I have many LGBT friends. I judge them based on their actions and not their sexual orientation.

I mean I guess that’s better than what others here have stated. But can I just ask you what actions you are not in favor of or judge them on?

The first thing all of us will be asked on the Day of Judgment is if we maintained salat. Focus on that.
Queer Muslims exist 🤷🏿♀️
@C2, I live just outside of DC in Alexandria

I’m just curious because as Muslims were a minority group and we, of course, want our rights, to be treated fairly, and to be supported
I wanted to see can we extend those same things we want for ourselves and communities to others?
Pro
The hard core practising Muslims refuse to acknowledge this.
I am not in support of the movement and refuse that my kids do too. I don’t have a problem working with them, but, they can stay away from me and from my family.
Seems like G1 already knows homosexuality is Haram. His children have nothing left to teach him on this topic.
A guy I work with told me his a drag queen on the weekends and I can never look at him the same way, even though he is a very cool/chill guy. My firm let him “be himself at work” and he put on a drag queen show… That being said this is America and I do believe they should have equal rights. No one should be fired because their gay. As far as what I’m doing to support them, nothing.
NYC here so I see it often. Maybe I just despise the amount/type of attention they attract.
There is absolutely a social element to gender confusion I.e. am I a boy in a girls body. To believe otherwise is delusional
No where in the Quran does it say homosexuality is a sin.
Yeah bc I don’t believe that’s what the story of lot is about. You can’t convince me otherwise
