At what income level should one be comfortable to spend 2400/mo on rent in HCOL? Assuming single, no kids, no debt or major expenses.

When it’s a low enough amount that you can save / meet your other needs.

General rule is 30% of gross income, but in HCOL areas, that’s sometimes not feasible.

I spend $2318. Make $145k. Not ideal but not terrible.

Indesign experts! HELP!
I'm trying to translate an indesign document from En to FR.
I have been provided the French translation word file.
When i try to paste the FR COPY on EN. The foot notes disappear and the superscript beside that french word also disappears when paste it from word.

Is there a way to easily copy paste text first and then edit footnote text (maybe link them later)

What are best practices to translate Indesign files?

I currently own a home in a nice area of California (central coast) and there’s an empty acre lot of grass next door.

Well it’s for sale, they’re asking 245k for it. That’s really high for something this small and not yet connected to utilities with no access to city sewer. We likely won’t offer that high per our realtors advice. Need input on if this is a smart real estate investment move, we’d be taking out a loan against our house to buy it and eventually build and rent our current house

Airbnb Rental Arbitrage

Hi all, seeking your advice.

I don't have money to buy another property, I already have a mortgage and I heard about Airbnb arbitrage where you can start doing short term rentals without owning the property.

Have you had any experience s on this field?

What are the pros and cons?

Is it a good idea to start it?

Thanks in advance for your input.
