Guess he is the one who stole laptop🤣he is asking what are the security features will be enables so that he can break it if possible. Think he tried multiple times and still unable to wipe or open it.Nice reconnaissance and information gathering. As we are cyber professionals dont fall for such social engineering 😆
Good one bro iam also looking switching jobs pls help by referring jobs you know bro
If iam the person who took laptop so i can format the driveand add new windows on that 😂 but if you add password on boot loader then i cant do that i need to replace whole motherboard i think
The second that person connects that laptop to the internet, it will be locked down due to the AD policy. You should check with your company if they have deployed any more security features like BIOS locking etc. If yes, it will be extremely difficult to bypass that.
If disk encryption is enables (like bitlocker) and the login is only through AD then the person won’t be able to compromise any data.. they’ll have to format and use.. for the theft aspect, you can contact legal and let them know that they need to file a police complaint against the employee.. that way if the employee ever turns on the machine, they’ll be tracked by their MAC address..

If a person took the laptop and left the company, best way is not to give relieving letter.

How cheap people are nowdays 🫠
You are too late bro.. your Organization should have had equally valued the data as much it was critical. "Defence in depth" and "Zero Trust" is the way to go today to value your critical data. Unfortunately organisations don't realise it unless they got their data compromised. Dont worry now about what is lost, May be you can take the possible legal actions, but be conscious about implementing the necessary security solutions.
