What do you want to do in cyber security. Based on your profile, I think the starting point can be network VAPT, however it can be anything that you want.
So first steps would be to follow a learning path on famous portals like tryhackme.
Setup your own lab, and practice what you learn. Also do online CTF challenges on the side as your knowledge increases.
Since you are changing your domain, a certification will help prove the fact that you have the skills, so start with Comptia security + or CEH then from there on 2-3 years later you can try for oscp.
You can start applying as soon as you feel you have some basic knowledge. For entry level roles they ask basic questions only, nothing fancy. So as soon as you have your hands on with your own labs, you can start applying.
