I love that! I always think the purpose of prayer is to shape and guide our behavior. So praying to be a better job searcher is something I see as a worthy goal. And praying to be a better communicator and someone with confidence, those are skills we can work on. That can be powerful stuff indeed.

Really aiming for 2025 to be making my own business. I want to be in control of it, and be my own boss. Comes with a lot of hurdles and learning, growing pains, but I am fed up with everything out there right now and think it is a viable route that can be considered.

I love this and I definitely agree with this. I am hopding to find a new role in the new year because I am not loving what I am doing but I am fortunate that I do still currently have a job.

Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm doing patent work. I applied to a part time masters program to try to pivot to a different technical field (still doing patent work, but in something that interests me more than what I’m doing now). Do I try to stick it out at the firm while getting the masters, ask for a reduced hours schedule, or get a part time, non-legal job so I can focus more on the program (one year).
