I did a secondment in Singapore from Australia — I am French and had a 4-year Australian visa.

I ended up with 3 reasons why it did not work: (1) someone said they messed up my visa/employment rights to stay in Singapore; (2) others say they terminated my contract under « HR restructuring » along with many other people; (3) my Singapore client said to me: « he doesn’t have the budget for me to stay longer »

Consulting’s basic business premise is the ability to generate revenue by being a trusted advisor to a client. If the work furthers your abilities to deliver value and deepens your relationships with a particular client than it’s a good move. If the work you will do when you return “home” is not connected in either terms of the skills set or the client (industry/company and/or economic buyer), then it’s a long fancy foreign vacation and a detriment to your career.

I had my capgemini hr round cleared on 7th October , and on 8th October , she said she has sent mail for business approval ?
Job grade B2
YOE - 4.1
CTC offered - 14 Lac ( fixed )
Current CTC - 5 6 LAC
Skill - AWS Cloud + Python + Devops

My question is how many days does it takes to release offer letter ?
Is the salary offered good or should I try for more negotiation ?

Note :- LWD in my current company is 1ST Nov

What can I do outside the office to boost my resume and be a substantially more attractive candidate for top consulting firms in ~12 months time. Working in disputes and valuation role but want to go into management consulting next year (post MBA role). I feel like my job isn’t enough because skills aren’t considered as transferable outside this field.

I join tcs by changing my profile and my previous exp was in 5 yr pre-sales.
I am giving my best in work but still escalations are raised against me by client.
My husband is also in tcs he is moving to onsite in Jan and my travel is also planned mid next year.
I am giving 12hour daily in my job to adjust in new profile. And affecting my health now.
Shall I quit the job and move with my husband with on dependant visa? Or i shall continue to get pressurized and wait for my onsite?
