Wait until the baby comes 😅 But yes brain fog is definitely normal in pregnancy. And after lol
I was so much worse PP than in pregnancy…. Both were bad 😅
LOL I could have written this. I’m 30 weeks and I think I spent most of the day yesterday realizing that I made dumb mistakes on like everything I touched and literally couldn’t get it together. You’re not alone. I try to blame the pregnancy as much as possible.
Mom brain is a real thing!! And biologically normal. Your brain literally rewires itself in anticipation of having and caring for a baby. Not to mention the sleep deprivation too. It does get better post baby, but pregnancy is tough on the body - physically and mentally! Give yourself grace. You’ve got this!
Very normal! I would forget entire words—not like a typo, I’m talking I’d get mid sentence and not be able to recall the word that meant what I was trying to say. And for some reason would also randomly drop objects (like keys…not the baby, ha). It does go away but takes time. You have to just be patient and give yourself lots of grace during this time. Honestly I think this is one of those things we’re hyper aware of in ourselves but don’t really notice in others, so I’d try not to worry too much about it. It is definitely a strange thing to experience though.
Hang in there A2! :)
I’m super early in pregnancy and feel like I’m incapable of going another 30 weeks of this 🤣
You’re not alone!! I don’t know how I made it through first trimester. I was so sick so all I could do was request EOTs and push aside a lot of the small things or things that didn’t have firm deadlines. In my third trimester now and the nausea and exhaustion has returned so I’m telling myself that if they don’t get done by the time I go on leave, so be it…there’s truly only so much you can do and it’s impossible to do it all, especially while pregnant. Also telling myself that if anyone says anything about me not completing those items, I don’t want to work in place that isn’t understanding of my situation now as it clearly isn’t a place that will be understanding if I have a baby or child-related emergency in the future. It’s easier said than done but truly try to triage everything to make it manageable and just focus on surviving for you and baby. And congratulations!
