Lolol yeah I definitely have some weird ticks. I remember when I was a kid someone made fun of how I itched my nose and it's stuck with me since then. We all have funny mannerisms that we don't even know we're doing
No I’m self aware to a fault
A friend once saw a snapshot of me as a child, and she remarked that I was fidgeting with my fingers the same as I do today. I looked and realized what she was talking about. I guess I've always been the same fidgety ball of anxiety.
My team pointed out that I have this weird habit of tapping my pen exactly three times before I start writing anything. Apparently, it's incredibly distracting for them. I had no idea I even did it! Now I'm trying to break the habit, but let's just say it's a work in progress.
I believe the use of word fillers like ummm is a mind blower when you videotape yourself. Once you zero in on it you realize how distracting it is in so many peoples speech.
We did an exercise/game in a women’s leadership class where people in the group would exaggerate mannerisms of others and we would guess who it was.
Super insightful to learn I tend to lean sideways in my chair and look down a lot.
