Yes, I was 10w when I accepted. I made sure to check the eligibility for leave and there was no min time, and I told them at the offer acceptance because I needed to push the start date for sickness reasons (needed three weeks of close monitoring with bleeding and past losses) and it was fine. But my main partner was a mom and she was awesome and very understanding, which I’m sure helped my situation.

I was 8 weeks when I started the conversations and joined the firm two months before going out. Personally I really liked having a sneak peek at the team and firm with very low expectations for me, basically getting to meet everyone but not being fully staffed up because I was going to leave soon, and then coming back after having the baby and already knowing people and feeling like a more normal start, with two runways for success. Recommend negotiating your guaranteed EOY bonus (no pro ration based on hours) before making the move so you don’t feel any pressure to hit hours while pregnant or just coming back.
