Has anyone met a SO at work? At what point do you have to disclose anything?

Yes. And we worked in totally different dept. We met outside of work through a mutual friend at work. I rationalized if things went south we would never cross paths at work.

Never disclosed it. So many coworkers were married to each other and the handbook didnt mention it so I didnt say anything.

Yes I was hooking up with a manager but never disclosed it because we were just hooking up

Depends. If you work in a situation where one of you could potentially be reviewing the other, disclosing a relationship can save you issues later. My ex- husband and I disclosed when he became a mgr in the same group. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have. (Definitely don’t do stuff like give each other RTR or reviews. I’ve seen it and it doesn’t go well.)

It is definitely not going to come down to reviewing the each other’s work, but that’s helpful. thanks!

Yes - my SO and I work in the same department. We waited about a year to disclose, and really only did so to avoid my reviewing his work (I’m SA2 he’s A2).

I'm looking for a technical cofounder in the Bay Area.

I'm working on a new startup, and I think I've got something really good. The tech itself is nothing new (no blockchain, AI, fancy algorithm, etc.) The vision requires only tried and tested tech (read full-stack engineer).

I know business (ops/marketing/sales/fundraising/etc), and pretend to know tech... I'm looking for someone who can actually execute on that side.

I can offer equity and nominal pay if necessary. Ping me if interested!

I work for a start up / small business. I haven’t had a raise in 4 years since starting and my role continues to grow and I believe I deserve a raise to match my increase in responsibilities. The company doesn’t adhere to clear roles and responsibilities - they often say, “well we need people to be flexible” or “it’s and all-hands-on-deck situation”. Looking for advice on how best to prep for pay increase convo knowing I need to be organized and clear.

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?
