Never heard of this, but from my personal experience the stat seems correct. My dad and I did cub scouts together when I was little and I credit that as the biggest single reason we have as good a relationship as we do. Those trips, activities, etc that we did together when I was young really set the stage.
As a dad who was heavily involved in Cub Scouts and just had his son cross over this year, this made me very happy to read :)
Seems like a made up stat. How do you measure bonding? With that said I think at younger ages you set the foundation for healthy bonding. With my daughter, we've bonded differently over the years. Barbies to camping to nice trips to bike rides to challenging her in certain school subjects. She's 10 now and I suspect the next types of bonding will be about friendship advice, then eventually boys, then starting to think about college. I'm committed to making bonding about experiences though. Last night was board games. Today will be sledding. Tomorrow will be something else. Kids will remember these experiences and how you make them feel.
Woot woot! Love APs flexibility.
Apparently this number stays constant till 18 as well.
68% dads agree with your numbers! 🤣
