I’m a little over a month in to my new role and feel like I keep choking on external calls I have. Thankfully my manager is on them and can jump in and I’m trying to learn and apply it next time but it’s killing my confidence. I also have this fear that I just don’t have the skills to have these conversations and will get fired. Any tips/thoughts/encouragement?
If we had an advertising union no one would be worried if their projects paused right now because they would have health care and a weekly stipend if laid off. Unionize now!
So what’s going on inside The Richards Group? Everyone just waiting for a big layoff? Did all those clients actually stop work ASAP or is that just what they tell the news, but in reality it’ll be a gradual transition?
Accenture announced it will lay-off 25000 people. Are Deloitte layoffs over? Can we rest easy now?
Any wagers # of layoffs at end of FY?
Anyone need a solid ACD/CW with a ton of digital and shopper experience? Got laid off, along with a ton of other talented folks. jaimegscreative.com

If anybody is impacted by the KPMG layoffs today let me know if you want to discuss new opportunities
What other firms are experiencing FS layoffs? Sounds like majority PwC based on previous posts.
If you work in Transaction Advisory Services at KPMG and were laid off this week, please send me a DM
If I go back to my previous big 4 firm from D will people think it’s because of the layoffs? My former SM reached out and said I’m welcome back anytime....
I personally feel that I am more of a slower worker than my other peers at WIPFLI. I take my time when I work through my assignments. Recently I have had a conversation from a Partner and separate conversation with a Sr. Manager who is my performance coach. They both say it takes what it takes to complete a job. But both are asking questions about my over budget. What do I do? I’m scared that I will get fired, honestly. I just try to do my best. I’m thinking of having a chat with them.
Jack Welch is a complicated figure to me. He's definitely a pioneer in the industry, but he definitely created the layoff culture we have today
Tough day. Layoffs at JL, Ogilvy, huge and R/GA
Which companies handled COVID the best? Lack of layoffs, prioritizing safety, being transparent, etc. I think this will be very important when we’re considering future job offers.
Any layoffs at the other firms? EY?
My wife was informed a few weeks ago that she would be laid off as of end of year. She signed the paperwork and will be receiving a decent severance due to her tenure there. Now the company is saying they may have some other work for her to do for a few months and they could extend her contract if interested. If she says no, is she still eligible for her severance since she already signed her paperwork?
What business checking account / credit card do you use and why or what do you like about them?
What's the bench policy in Mindtree. I've heard that they just give only 3 chances to clear client interview. Is that true ?

I am currently working in a rural litigation practice and looking to move back to the big city for an in-house or government job. Part of my contract with my current firm requires 60 days notice. Frankly to get my case load handled and hearings complete I think 60 days is reasonable but I'm not sure a hiring manager will see it that way. Thoughts?

Why do people into financial independence preach it like a religion and act holier than thou? Some of us want families, good company healthcare, and to live a life beyond that of a peasant

PwC - NewCo, Project @Galaxy, are you being asked to recruit (in your city)? Are we eligible for referral bonuses? Will the current pwc referrals apply or do we wait to hire post close?
I haven’t seen my partner in over a year due to covid and I know his family is going to want to do a family trip once restrictions are lifted to go visit him overseas. (He is in the army stationed in South Korea). Would it be wrong of me if I said I wanted to go alone and be with him by myself? I feel like that may make me look a tad bratty but I don’t want to spend time with his family all fighting for his attention.
What are some of the habits that benefit you a lot? I will start first. I stretch every morning. Been doing this since high school.
What are some certifications I can do which are hot in market? Have data background and in pwc consulting. Not very keen on software development or very technical courses. Is PMI or any other certification helpful? What are my options? Can anyone with similar background share some experience? For reference - I’m 3 years into consulting.
Anyone looking for a CD team and open to remote? 1 of us is in CA and one in NYC but both willing to travel as needed and have worked together before. Open to working any US time zone and love to mentor. TY!
Hi everyone, have a final informal interview in a couple weeks with someone I’d be working with routinely. Was told that it’s the final step but have also read on here that there’s a hiring committee interview. Is this for everyone, or should I expect to be done after this upcoming one?
Hello🐠. I live on the East Coast and would like to visit Alaska but can't really take a full week of vacation. Would 3-4 days be enough for a first trip and which city would you advise I go to first?
