Has anyone went from litigating to claim adjusting and gone back to a firm in a non-litigation role? Am considering this as corporate RTOs are cracking down while the firm is actually offering more flexibility.

What type of non-litigation role at a firm are you looking for?

I think you will have difficulty finding a coverage position at a firm that involves zero litigation. You should look at claims counsel position for carriers if you want a more advisory role where you are solely giving coverage opinions.

I’m doing this right now.

I started a new role 3 months ago and I don’t feel like I’m being set up to succeed. There was basically no onboarding. I have no clue who to go to for anything. We have no central repository for old documents, so I’m constantly fumbling around & starting from zero. I keep finding systems or programs that someone was supposed to get me access to/train me on but never did. I’m so stressed out because I never know if I’m missing something huge. Is this normal..or do I need to start job hunting?

Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.
