What does your opposing counsel do that pushes you over the top and just makes you want to settle the case? (Plaintiff and defense answers welcome). Mine: requesting 15 depositions of people that will never be called at trial.

If OC pushes me over the top that makes me less likely to want to settle tbh.

How about not responding to discovery at all even. Despite motions, orders, phone calls everything. There are numerous attorneys at the largest national Plaintiff's firm who take part in this practice while they collect their enormous salaries.

Today is my first day back at work (and first full day back in my physical office) after a few weeks off for parental leave. Needless to say, I am struggling to stay focused on anything other than wanting to go back home to my spouse and child.

I know I shouldn't take an emotional temperature on day one, but it has been more difficult being back than I anticipated. Any tips for navigating the waters for the first day/week/month back?
