Those two things are incompatible. You can't maintain a relationship for producing excellent work if you don't want to do the work. There's nothing wrong with passing on an opportunity, but you have to realize when you do, that client is going to find someone else to do this project and probably the next one that comes after that. If that's okay with you, just tell them what you said here: you don't have the time for it right now. If you want to keep working with them in the future, you find the time for it.
This sucks. Because I made the edits as requested but more keep coming in and in a tight corner because I dont have the desire to finish this. You’re right tho
Discuss exactly the scope of these edits, get them done and back to the client, and let them know you’ll be unavailable while working on something else. If you already started the edits, you’ll have to see them through now.
The edits have been made but errors keep coming in from this silly platform they have. Sigh. Thanks for the advice
If you want to maintain a good relationship with this client, your only choice is to see it through. If you didn’t care about the relationship or the feedback, they might give you then you could cut and run. But there’s no way to keep a good relationship or hope to work for them again in the future if you don’t finish this project.
