Any experience with Frederique Constant? Seems like a good starter brand

It was my first nice watch, I’ve liked it. I still wear it all the time. If you want a watch that punches above its price point, its the one.

Actually own two of their time pieces (not sure they are nice enough to be called that, but I digress).

Overall, I have gotten a number of compliments, mostly around how classy the pieces are from their minimalistic style.

To note, I do have smaller than average wrists, so the 38mm - 40mm diameter face is absolutely perfect.

This brand is probably my go-to for items less than $1,000 and will continue to buy them.

Let me know if you have questions on a specific style or if you’d like me to DM you some recommendations.

That’s extremely pretty, OP. Pull the trigger and buy yourself something.

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.

Brand new to the bowl. Looking at getting my fiancé his first nicer watch as wedding gift when we get married next year. I’m trying to stick around $7k, but would go to $10k. Is it worth getting him something now or wait until I’m willing to spend more? I know absolutely nothing about watches. Recommendations?

New piece for the birthday - I’m really interested in how many of these entry-level makers are stepping up their game.

From an aesthetics perspective I love it and I also appreciate that they use in-house movements. But from a business perspective I wonder if this brand and price point make sense?

Newbie question. When you see watches on display in window shops can you actually just walk in and purchase them? E.g. I’ve heard before that you need to be approved to buy a Patek.

I know you can do it for brands like Omega, but wondering if you can also just walk in and buy a Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, A Lange Sohne, etc. without knowing the dealer beforehand.

Excited that the new Calatrava exists! I think the PP price premium is crazy and I don’t like hobnail bezels, so would never purchase. But even so, I’m happy PP cares about putting out a respectable dress watch and enjoyed reading about it / the new movement. The old Calatrava with a 21mm movement and closed case back felt really lazy...

So, I bought my husband a Tudor BB 58 in blue for his birthday and he hated it. He says it doesn’t have the date and that bothered him tremendously 😑. Now he needs to exchange the watch for something else. What type of watch should he consider next? Maybe back to Breitling ? I am so frustrated. I did so much research on this watch !
