Have an offer at a different firm. Applied months ago but they just finally got serious. My wife is pregnant and I want to take the offer, but feel bad about joining and then going out on leave a few months later. To my knowledge, the parental leave benefit starts on day 1. Is it unethical to take it without telling them?

Throwing this out there. My company was recently acquired and I was laid off yesterday. You name it, I’ve probably done it. Team management exp but not required in next role.
