Have any new/junior partners run into issues and clashed with senior partners because you are getting business from clients (and getting origination credit) that used to go to the senior partner?How do you handle this situation? Especially if you the junior partner is a woman and the senior partner an old white man.

I was going to say you’re in a good system if you’re getting origination credit on a senior partner’s clients. RU certain that’s the reason for the clash? I know I’ve misread a situation once or twice based on what it looked like to me…

I guess my advice would be to focus on continuing to do great work for the client and maintaining professionalism with the partner- try not to get distracted by his little sideshow.

Origination credit is so odd and firm dependent. In our firm, if the partner has a relationship with that client, all new cases are origination of that partner. If the client refers a new client, then that origination may go to you.

Our’s is previous partners have a veto right unless it is an independent origination. That said, there are some animals that are more equal than others and claim everything belongs to them…

Taking an informal survey how many firms (I) have the junior and midlevel summer associates plan the bulk of the summer events (lunches but also evening events) and (ii) count time spent on the summer program as qualified billable work (in that partners see how much you bill to it on your time sheet)?

Hi all, does anyone have a good framework they would recommend for developing HCP/physician communication strategies and defining tactics for HCP engagement (outside of pharma reps)? There is of course a ton out there for patient communications such as patient journey mapping but engaging HCPs is a very different beast. Looking for something a bit more nuanced than a traditional consumer framework. Thanks!
