Have two offers for pretty much the same role at Deloitte and Accenture. Pay, benefits, responsibilities all about the same. Between the firms which one would you guys choose. Had a pleasant experience with both during interviews. Work will be similar across both but having a hard time chose one.

Deloitte better to work for a partnership than shareholders

Deloitte by a mile. It’s a country club compared to the body shop that is Accenture. Training, travel, caliber of people, firm benefits, etc., are all way better at Deloitte, plus better for your CV.

Id like to think Accenture.

Partnership model is 100% falling apart. Ive worked on 3 private equity deals on middle market consulting firms. Thinks baker Tilly, bdo, etc...

Accenture SHOULD be primed to eventually advise on AI implementation.

However, they dont seem to be able to get their sht together. They've been very focused on m&a to grow. And i dont think those deals have really worked out. The results is a deflated brand and weakened ability to compete in the market.

So keep that in mind that I think Accenture should and is supposed to be able to win if they can get their act together.

If you are tech oriented id go Accenture. If strategy orientated id go deloitted. Anything in between id go deloitte.

Agreed

If prestige/career growth matters go with Deloitte. I recently made the move to EY. The career opportunities/projects have been great at big 4. Hard work though.

Not biased as I’m not at Deloitte but you’re way better off there than at Accenture. Everyone I know at ACN is so so stressed out and they’re all various MD levels. If the people in charge of making and filling the pipeline is stressed, then there’s no hope for the ones who are dependent on those projects to get work.

Deloitte and here's why - Accenture is a publicly traded enterprise and in the consulting space that means your client is not #1, the shareholder is. This results in sometimes crazy behavior such as laying off perfectly capable resources because the accountants have to make the numbers for Wall St., or replacing one highly skilled and competent on-site resource for 2 junior offshore resources because it makes the margins better. Accountants run the show! On the flip side, Deloitte is a partnership. Yes, they still have economics to manage, but they are not at the whims of a stock price and can invest in a bench or special skills if they need it. The client comes first, so decisions are usually rational.

Considering pivoting into a local MM IB. As my title suggests, my technical skills aren’t as honed as one who has focused on the analysis route. How much of being an Analyst at a smaller IB is technical skill heavy coming into the role? I hold my 7, 66, 24, and am not worried about getting the 79. Any input for how realistic this is? When looking at one particular firm’s career page it doesn’t mention technical skills or modeling once, which led me to believe it may be less important than soft.

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I know that title is not a big thing but why I feel like my title is downgraded here… Good thing is my jobs here at my current team are what I really wanted to do. This is amazing. I love my new team and people here! Super healthy working environment! But just curious about the title.
