At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). I think I am slipping into depression. My life seems to have no meaning and all I do is work. I don't get time for myself or my family, friends and loved ones. But I can't leave my job and take a break as I need the financial support.

I also feel I am earning way less than my peers which makes me feel like a loser. 4.5 years of work-ex and 16LPA.

Anyone have any for tips on transitioning from US private sector to practicing law in Europe for a non profit? I am US/EU citizen and qualified in US and UK via QLTS.

Planning to take the CIPP and CIPM. Will be doing self-study. What is the “book” everyone refers to for studying? Is it just the “study guide” the IAPP sells? Since I was previously trained in project management, I’m doing sometimes a week or 2 weeks worth of google coursework in one evening. I’m a second year in general litigation. I’ve been drafting briefs, memos, letters, motions, etc. but I’m getting the documents back with a lot of redline. From what I see, majority of my research, thoughts, and substance is there but it doesn’t feel good seeing all those redlines. Is it normal to see all those redlines or am I doing something wrong?

I had a panel interview two weeks ago. I sent the recruiter a status check email last Friday and haven't heard back. I'm really interested in this company and still see the role posted on their site. I'd like to send another email today (to the hiring mgr and recruiter) reiterating my interest along with a list of references. Thoughts on sending the references without them asking? I don't do well with panel interviews and I'm hoping they look past that and check my references.

About last layoffs, we didn't do any layoffs it's cost adjustments mostly in operation centers and restructure due new growth model. 🤷‍♂️
