Hi! I have been working in marketing and advertising for ~5 years and recently started exploring the freelance side of things. I started conversations with a small boutique studio about doing Facebook ads for them and they asked what my retainer fee would be to manage them. Since I’ve always worked for a company that was hired to do it I am not entirely sure what a freelance rate for that should be? I would love any insight. I'll share my experience and urge you to share yours:

Since iOS 14 changes, Facebook ads isn't the same anymore. Why?

A. >75% iOS users denied tracking. They are no longer tracked across websites/apps. Facebook lost its edge.
B. Targeting and conversion tracking aren't as effective anymore.
C. Many advertisers have been migrating their budgets from Facebook to Apple and Amazon ads.

After doing freelance for the last two years, I’ve decided to go back to the corporate world. I’ve been applying a ton of places but keep getting turned down immediately - not even a first interview and I can’t figure out why.

I feel like I have a lot of good accolades as far as awards, a graduate certificate program board I’m on, really good stats from my previous work, etc.

I have 7 years experience. Are people looking for someone w/ less experience/cheaper?
