Has anyone in big 4 asked for a transfer to a different country? (I.e Canada). Currently debating whether I should transfer with the firm or apply for express entry myself.

I'm at a smaller MM bank. My original goal was to start here and hustle through into a BB, but I wasn't expecting to really like the people (my team, my direct seniors). I think the work we do probably wouldn't differ a crazy amount (we close deals, just smaller of course) and I'm wondering if I really have a reason to try to move into a bigger bank.

I’m job searching right now and applied for a job I was a little overqualified for just to shoot my shot and get my foot in the door with a great brand. The hiring mgr took the time to email me to tell me I was overqualified and offered to help me get connected to his network. He’s been so kind and helpful and I’m kind of in shock at his generosity. Even if an offer doesn’t come from it, is it weird if I send him a Starbucks gift card or something as a thank you? What’s appropriate?

Hi! I have been working in marketing and advertising for ~5 years and recently started exploring the freelance side of things. I started conversations with a small boutique studio about doing Facebook ads for them and they asked what my retainer fee would be to manage them. Since I’ve always worked for a company that was hired to do it I am not entirely sure what a freelance rate for that should be? I would love any insight. Switching career fields - Any advice on virtual ‘Brand Strategy’ courses/certificates/tools/websites etc?

Facebook Ads after iOS 14 changes.

I'll share my experience and urge you to share yours:

Since iOS 14 changes, Facebook ads isn't the same anymore. Why?

A. >75% iOS users denied tracking. They are no longer tracked across websites/apps. Facebook lost its edge.
B. Targeting and conversion tracking aren't as effective anymore.
C. Many advertisers have been migrating their budgets from Facebook to Apple and Amazon ads.

So, recently got put on a PIP after six months at my new job., two days after I told my boss and HR I recently learned I have a cognitive disability caused by an illness. The PIP was mostly because I forgot some deadlines, but also they said I need to be more professional in emails (even though others use zero punctuation and a lot of emojis. To clients.) and simultaneously ask more questions and ask fewer questions. Should I just assume this is unattainable and look for a new job again?
