I have often seen that people who look busy are perceived more highly than people that are actually busy, I call it busy looking busy. I don’t agree with it but it makes sense, the ones walking quickly around the office with a pile of papers and a notebook are seen going from place to place even if they aren’t doing anything vs the ones buried at their desk are completely invisible. So get up and rush about periodically :)

I have now been asked to design an architecture for an upcoming project, and document it all. Nothing at this company has been well documented before. Working as CAL Manager with Accenture S&C India. Offered ~GBP 76.5K (fixed plus flexi) at Manager Grade by Deloitte London.

Prior to Accenture, I have already served as S&O Manager with Deloitte India for ~1.5 yrs - so this would be my second stint with Deloitte as Manager "again".

2 questions:
1. Should I ask for Senior Mgr (AD) grade - to which they have already said NO
2. Is GBP 76.5K sitting at the lower end of M grade in Deloitte UK? What should be a good expectation for the role
