It’s like risking a parking ticket in a place that isn’t patrolled often. Don’t get angry if you are unlucky.
They don’t ask
Photoshop a business card worst case scenario, and have it handy in your phone

And which Ritz?? There’s like 5 or 6 in the Miami/Ft Lauderdale area.
Use it
What’s the code 😅
They don't care. When I was a consultant the client asked us to use their hotel code since it offered better rate.
Create an email signature for that company on your Gmail and if they ask just be like "Well I don't travel with my employee ID, but here's my work email..." And show them your phone
So I've used my actual work phone as proof twice and basically said what I mentioned above and just showed them an email I had sent.
If you're really worried about it I'm sure you could mock one up that looks like a sent email but I don't think they really care.
What’s the codeeee
Only one Ritz in Miami is worth more than 250/nt unless you're old and stuffy.

I would say the refurbished South Beach location, Bal Harbour and Key Biscayne are all worth >$250 a night.
High risk! Did it a couple of weeks ago... had a code for $150 p/night... rates were going up for $1,200+ front desk said my rate was insane and asked for my company ID... was able to figure my way through it but had to speak to a few ppl there til someone bought my BS story 🤣
What’s the code?

GDY
GDY let’s you book the Ritz Miami South Beach for $250 (or even lesser sometimes)
Yeah, they're a major government contractor (as opposed to a company that "has a couple govt contracts" so they use that to negotiate rates.
GDY is notoriously risky. Use search here and you’ll see stories of people consistently getting asked to prove they work for GDY.
