Is moving from Product management to management consulting a right move given the future growth and compensation ? I have around 11 plus years of IT experience largely in Product Management.When I see LinkedIn profile of management consultants I see few of them get hired on C level positions in other companies but do not see that for Product manager except starting their own startup.Need suggestions if i should keep this transition dream or not

I got selected in Infosys and offer was about to get release today but at last minute suddenly today infy HR told I was interviewed 5 months 20 days before in infosys so they cannot proceed now as 6 months cool off period. My firm’s IT (especially system saving and file locating function) is so bad 😐😞 and they keep doing updates no one asked them for just to mess with the stuff we already got a hang of without doing anything about the issues we actually need fixed. Anyone else in a similar boat? Do you bill the client for the time it takes to fix the IT issue (or IT inefficiency generally, like time taken to find a file in a convoluted system)? Or is that supposed to be our non-billable time?
