August is a tricky staffing time in good years. It is ironically a busy bid time because our clients like to get them out and go on holiday to evaluate in sept. If you have some PTO take it, if you don’t being on BD is better than unassigned but generally your utilisation will be fine for a short 4-6 weeks unassigned particularly when it resets. Remain useful/willing/ train up (on all free stuff cus we aren’t spending on that in Q4) and keep hustling. I hear you on network but going into office going to events (when on) and keeping visible will rebuild some of that. And if your network left places you fancy … give them a call
^ utilisation is measured on two variants Year to date (resets 1 Sept) Month to date (rolls month to month) both views are visible in portal/workday
Accenure Canada here. 5 pay periods on the bench = they can dismiss oyu w/o cause.
You are entirely responsible for finding your next job, so do EVERYTHING possible. Contact your Office Managers in offices near you. Ask them to refer you to anyone who might need your skill set. Ask your previous Managers if they can refer you. Network like crazy.
Thank you .. when you say 5 pay period , around 5 months ..?
Can you do some BD work? (Sales)
Yes, that is the only viable option now. Will that save me, or am I still at risk? My six years of MD network building, all left at the first. It feels like starting again.

NA usually get paid every 2 weeks vs the uk being paid monthly. Bench kick out time in the UK varies according to practice and skillset you possess. We can’t dismiss without cause in the UK - we manage out on performance grounds based on poor utilisation. You are responsible for your own career and finding work that is universally true in Accenture
Yeah, that totally makes sense. I'm seeing a bunch of roles in other DTEs. I've been a top performer all my years here, and usually before I hit the bench, I always had roles... but I've also seen Accenture brutally removing amazing talent overnight.
To be honest, I'm ready for anything, I hate being here. will see how it goes.
