When you meet with a partner for a new assignment. Do you bill for that time? I’m a new associate, so I don’t know. On the one side it seems that meeting and conferring for an assignment requested by the the client would be billable since it’s using firm time and resources. Does the addition of “(level) II” make a difference to anybody? I am the only marketing communications specialist for a lead child-welfare nonprofit. We oversee four counties in two circuits. Director recently gave me add’l merit-based raise (after my annual raise, been here 14 months) & slight title change to Marketing Comm Specialist II. No plans to add a level 1 (would be lower) specialist but will add level 1 engagement specialist to team. Should I update resume/cards or is this confusing?

Do you get the feeling that there is a higher image promotion of women/minority people in Tech?I have seen way to many pictures from major tech companies that promote far more women/minorities than white males in their marketing materials.Wouldn't be better if we hired the best people no matter what the race/gender is?I know some companies are not publishing any gender/race stats but you cant't really demand a 50/50 ratio.Also there is no coincidence that most execs is some companies are British.
