I cleared all the technical rounds in Infosys in july and salary discussion happened in August and September end i received a regret mail from Infosys. How much is the cool off period in Infosys ? My cool off period will be applicable from the day i attended first round or the date in which i received the regret mail And i would like to apply for a job in Edgeverve. Will the infosys cool off Period be applicable for Edgeverve also? Or i can apply for Edgeverve opening now itself?

Should I lateral to another firm?

At a MM firm where cash comp is lower than normal but carry is higher at junior levels and returns are strong. I won’t receive any carry until ~2025 and then will be really strong, but until then I’m hung out to dry. Should I make a jump somewhere else to expedite comp increases?

I just had a colleague ask me my opinion on a few cars since she’s buying her daughter’s first car. Went through a few brands trying to get a sense of where her mind was, and as soon as I mentioned VW she said “oh, they’re owned by Mercedes and we had bad experiences with Mercedes years ago.”

What comically incorrect car things have your coworkers said to you about cars?

I have a business idea in the VR/AR space utilizing AI. However, I lack skill sets to evaluate viability or to create an MVP. Neither do I have a network to tap into.

My plan is taking classes to deepen my knowledge while joining and actively participating in communities to find collaborators.

I have an offer with 12 LPA as a SA -QA1 as OMS QA (Functional) ; I don't have much experience in automation, mostly I have worked on functional/buisness part of testing ; can anyone let me know what is the future for a tester in PS ? will the resources gets projects , or not with this kind of profile

Dilemma… I left my old company 4 months ago. Today, they’ve reached out to me to ask me to come back at a higher role, Operations Manager. I would’ve jumped on this opportunity if they asked me before. However, this role would be hybrid (2x in office) and come along with more responsibilities and hours than my current WFH role which is very chill. The pay is only 15% more than I currently make. Any thoughts?
