Hey Ex-MBBers who've exited, I've spent 3.5 years in BCG post undergrad, fast-tracked a couple times, yet am just worried about if i'm gonna fail in exit ops.

I see a lot of opportunities, but I'm just worried since I don't really have any operating experience nor time in managing a team - what if I just totally screw up the job? My subordinates think I'm incompetent? I "boil" the ocean?

Can someone speak to the truth about exiting MBB and what life looks like in industry? (F500 role)

What’s the deal with RFPs? I’ve spent countless [non-billable] hours on several of them only to find out that I’m not included in the actual proposal (the document sent to the client showcasing the proposed case team). Is this normal?

I currently work as a Contracted Software Engineer and I’m set to finish my contracted time at the end of October. To stay ahead of game I started to move forward in the interview process with another opportunity as an Application Software Programmer and just received notification that I got the position. Just scored 700 on my GMAT and I feel like a bag of crap. For reference, I put in 300+hrs into my studying, which is overkill but the course I signed up for took this long.

Should I start by building a network in my home country and ask them if they can put me in touch with someone in my target location?
