Hi I've joined Harman in May but hasn't been assigned to any project yet. I've asked hr and reporting manager they said they're working on it and there's nothing to be worried about However I just want to know if there's anything I should be concerned about what's the bench policy? I don’t think any of us care about your GMAT score

Maybe put 300+ hours into polishing your resume and casing? Might be more effective

Really not going to move the needle one way or the other
We do take GMAT scores into screening. A 700 won’t be helpful. But it’s a relatively minor portion of the evaluation. You’d be much better off spending time prepping for casing and behavioral if you truly spent 300+ hours lol
Yea GMAT score doesn't mean much compared to how you perform on cases. Also, any reason you're only applying to BCG? By far easiest way to increase your odds would be to apply to Mck and Bain too (waaay more than a 800 GMAT).
Thanks. Will keep in mind and give it a shot as well
I am an experienced hire EM at M. No MBA and scored 670 on my GMAT. You'll survive with 700 trust me...
Thanks!
I got a 690 and still ended up at BCG for what it's worth
Thanks for the insight!
Lol no one at any company cares about your GMAT.

Wrong.
Important screener.
Not the be all and end all, but it matters.

Op - given all your practice so far I’d keep going with the gmat prep and try to raise your score to 720 or 730. Would help when you decide to go for bschool. You’re super close.
Thanks for your 2¢ P1. That's my thought process as well - I'd like at least a 730
I've been tutoring for GMAT for a while (i went from 700 to 750 to 770 when I took it 7 years ago). Reach out if you plan to retake and want to discuss how to improve.
Thanks y'all. I guess it's not nearly as bad as I thought. Practiced some casing when I applied last year (didn't end up with an interview) and will practice again for when I reapply.
I thought anything over 700 was good?

Google Standard Distribution...
GMAT is used for some initial screening, but so is networking. A good conversation or two with a 700 will be every bit or more effective than a 780 with no networking.
Thanks B2 for your insight
