Bain & Company Got dinged after a final round AC interview with Bain & Company as an experienced hire with 1 YOE. Currently at $75k base salary and on average work 30-40 hours a week.
Considering $15-25k increase in salary, but double the number of work hours, is it worth reapplying to Bain next year or better to wait to apply until after business school?

Coach
Comparing Bain partner to BCG MDP (because BCG partner is not really a partner), Bain is fairly universally higher although not to an extreme degree. Typically Bain tops the other two for junior / mid partner comp then McKinsey pulls away for most senior partners.
Coach
For brand new partners it is slightly higher for BCG, overall average and for mid level partners it would be Bain. Senior Ps would be McK.
Junior P (1-3 yr): BCG>Bain>McK
Mid-level and overall: Bain>BCG=McK
Senior P: McK>Bain>BCG
What is Bain junior partner comp? Our first year MDPs clear 1M in NAMR and by second year you can be over 1.5M pretty comfortably. My understanding was we pay more to junior MDPs, Bain pays more to top performers and McK pays senior people the most.
Thank you for the information!
