Additional Posts in Middle East Consultants
Bain & Company Hi all, I am interested in making the move to the Middle East, however starting from august/September. What do you think are the prospects for the future in the region? Do you envisage a hiring freeze or are companies still going strong? Thanks!McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Kearney Bain & Company

If you have a good relationship with a current client or your previous consultancy to the point of being recruited regardless of the bad market, than good. Otherwise, stay where you are

Im doing it for almost over 4 years, mainly in the region. Well when I was starting market was booming and rates where golden, now it’s much tougher although still lucrative if you negotiate a good deal. Through agencies is now hard - big competition (many fired people started contracting as well), if you have your own network and manage to get yourself steady stream of projects directly, then it probably works (it does for me at least), but otherwise tough. And ups and downs quite straightforward, more flexibility but less predictability and a lot of uncertainty and a bit of a glass dealing at EM lvl. From what is see later people either go to the client full time, set up a boutique or back to consultancy/ industry
