Bless you PMs.

AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

If you can, get on the CCNA track.
Good place to start would be a degree in computer science. If you've got that, the certifications to consider would be CompTIA Security+ or Network+. The certifications won't guarantee you a job, but they will certify that you learned things and you have a base level of competence in the field.
WGU has a good Networking and Cybersecurity programs. They include certifications such as Network+ and CCNA in the curriculum. All their programs are self paced and can be completed very efficiently if you already know the material.
If you do not wish to invest in a degree, I believe Cisco Certifications are the best route. CCNA Routing and Switching is often considered a core certification to have. If you lack foundational knowledge in networking, it may be better to start with the CompTIA Network+ and Security+.
Also, learn number systems (Binary, Octal, Hexadecimal). Learning subnetting without understand binary to decimal conversion is like learning a dark art. Everybody has their own nonsense heuristic approach to figuring it out. If you understand binary to decimal conversions, subnetting is easy mental math.
Good luck with your endeavors.
