I'm a 2024 Mechanical Engineering Graduate from SJCE Mysore, I have worked on a POC(Rotating Gantry) for a company for a period of 7 months, which involved studying Patents, research papers, Designing 3D Models of the product (Solidworks), Conducting Dynamic Structural Analysis.
Optimising the Design. Fabrication and Manufacturing of the POC, Documentation of the project.

I would be grateful, If anyone would guide me further. I'm in search of a job which would be of similar kind.

Why is there such a huge pay difference between IT and Mechanical/auto industries? Many people in IT are getting 3xx salary hikes, but here I am struggling to get more that 20-30% hikes. Sure the skills are much more demand in IT field, but the discrepancy is too much. Is it due to most of the work are outsourced to consultancy/service based companies by the OEM? Or is there simply too much candidates available?
