Hi all, I’m trying to gauge the current job market for DevOps engineers with ~3 years of experience, as I’ve heard from friends that hiring isn’t great, but my network is limited. I’d love insights from the Grapevine community: Are companies actively hiring mid-level DevOps engineers in 2025, and which industries or regions are hot? Is the market competitive, with stable or declining salaries? What skills (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform) or certifications are must-haves to stand out?

Does relocation to touristic cities (workations) really work? I have experience working summer jobs in foreign countries and was thinking about doing that now, or at least plan for next year.

I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years. I reached out to my old ADON to get some information on where we had our vaccinations from and she told me that I should come back and the administrator that I had issues with is gone. Conduct annual performance reviews with your kids and let them know their status in the family is at stake. There’s no feeling in the world that compares to seeing an 8 year old kid on a PIP turn it around and earn an invitation to come back next year.

Spending a weekend with my fiancé’s family out of town and quite literally my future FIL burps out loud 10x a day with no shame and his mom is a narcissistic monster in law just have no clue how these bizarre ppl created such a lovely person in my fiancé.
