15K is a good salary if
You're going there as a bachelor without family
You're getting any other benefits apart from salary (incentive etc)
You get this 15K ( approx 3 lakhs per month) fully tax free. And there would not be any huge charges to send it as inr to India
Cost of living is very reasonable in Dubai.
Try to get a room near diera or somewhere in Sharjah. ( This will help you save living rent )
Except liquor everything else is reasonable price in dxb
I was in Dubai till 2021
18 lpa is equivalent to about 14k AED in UAE as per cost of living benchmark. Ideally considering you would change jobs for 20% hike in India. Ideally your offer should be 17k-18k AED
But doesn't tax saving get considered as well? Even after all expenses, my monthly savings will be doubled. Also any idea about the bond period? They will deduct 5k Aed if I leave before 1 year, also they have right not to release me to another employer if I leave within 2 years ( as they sponsor 2 year work visa). Is this standard?
Most importantly you should never compare the salary in India with any other countries
Regarding the bond. Yes. It's reasonable ( i gues they are signing you for limited contract) which means you have to pay a certain amount if you're leaving before that. And this is quite common in middle East
Not for a limited contract. The work visa is for 2 years, so they will have to renew it again if I will be there after 2 years.
My sister lives in dubai. She switched to a package of 60 lpa inr 3.5 years back with 6 years of experience. Job security is a major concern in Dubai. IT sector not much prevalent in Dubai. Searching job in Dubai is a task. She is now thinking of migrating to Europe.
Yes, 60 lpa was her first switch in Dubai. She had an experience of 6 years before migratin to Dubai.
