I want to give my word of advise that it should get less stressful if you can keep organized this year and don’t let the pressure of clients or* anyone like your tax preparers eat your skin alive this year. One thing I noticed when I just began my last tax season as admin was they will make it stressful. The clients are paying top dollar just to evade as many taxes as possible when they consult professionals. They’re really just gonna be high need people for a short while and then you don’t see them again for a year and sometimes never when they go some place else. Literally just try your best. I didn’t do anything this last tax season that was clever or anything but it was my first one. And I will say hold on for the ride because your coworkers and everyone else around you will likely be feeling those highs and lows. And the last thing you need is to ride that roller coaster. So just stick to your own guns and basically don’t take it home with you. At the end of the day these are taxes it’s not a surgery. And the fear of getting fired? Don’t let that ride you this upcoming tax season. They need you or else they wouldn’t sit there and basically ask you to work more hours during that time of year. I feel like you don’t give yourself enough credit here. You have some leverage even if you think you don’t. You’re an asset to the team. Never think of yourself as any less.
