Hello! I recently applied for a Travel Procurement Senior Manager role at PwC (role is in NYC and I’m not NYC-based but I believe certain roles can be primarily remote). I have 5+ years of experience in this field and the description/company culture seem like a perfect match to what I’m looking for. Are there any fish from PwC and/or their talent acquisition team that can provide a reference post-submission and insight on the hiring process? Thanks!!

Do you consider Dallas to be "conservative"?

Yea all the north suburbs but with the caveat you aren’t getting low property taxes anywhere in dfw.
Southlake is the best school system in Texas, not low property taxes but worth it. Very Red too!
Hehe friendly banter, but the competition in 5A schools systems in Texas is dwarfed by the competition in 6A. Academics, Athletics, and Arts.
Oklahoma
I’d consider Oklahoma. It’s far from Dallas, though.
Wrong state for low property taxes. Unless you're coming from Jerzey
State I’m moving from is the trifecta of high property, sales, and income tax. #2 in property taxes nationwide, so I’ll reap savings on that. It never used to be that way - my property taxes more than doubled in twelve years, even though my property value increased only 10 percent. Property values even declined this year but of course taxes won’t go down

Southlake
You’re describing literally every suburb of Dallas. They’re pretty much all Republican. Just pick a school district north of Richardson and deal with the property taxes
M1: I am not saying it is a problem for me, giving a detail to ultra right original poster .. I was providing a statistic .. why are u assuming something I did not say
Southlake trophy club frisco prosper
Dallas is pretty blue for texas, as is Huston and Austin
Most of Tarrant County
Welcome to Texas. Like they said already. Northern Dallad suburbs, Southlake and most of Ft Worth. Ft W still has a Texas cowboy culture; look at Keller in North FtW or Southlake is is basically far north FtW.
You could also look at the area SOUTH of DFW like Burleson, Mansfield and Cedar Hill. This area is about 30min from DFW Airport and 30-45min from downtown Dallas. There's a few places here where you can still buy 1 acre lots in a gated community for decent money.
If you want small town feel then Burleson, Cleburne, etc. Taxes might be cheaper. And there's zero traffic to DFW Airport if you drive thru the FtW side (approach the airport from the west side)
Thank you for the advice. I have a client in Fort Worth and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get to the airport. My home city’s airport is 15 miles away and it often takes me an hour to get there
Usually republican means high income which means high property taxes/hoa. Also I would have to say best schools are in Coppell and Plano which are somewhat democrat so cant have all of em I guess
Ey1: why do u think Plano consistently elects republican mayors ??
Any Dallas suburb will probably be more conservative than where you are coming from. Property taxes are going to be higher than you expect. There is a Robinhood system, so expensive places will subsidize othe districts. Southlake is not in the “reasonable property price” category. Anyplace like that in TX you are for sure send more taxes out to other districts. Most people I know in Dallas will do private school. Save on tax by lose it to private school tuition.
Thanks all. Thinking Coppell right now as a front runner.
Anywhere outside of a major city center
Prosper
Plano .. any where you may end up, be ready for kids that may turn out more progressive by end of high school .. welcome to Dallas ( I am a registered republican )

D3, Are you saying Trump is a representation of the Republican Party? Or not?
