I’d exit for F500 and Director title if you want exit opps for consulting / corp strat / big tech and for the prestige.
Chief of staff may not help you optimize for prestige, but you’d learn a lot, exit into a leadership role at the same company or somewhere else, and you’d probably exit later into smaller tech companies or strategy roles, you’re unlikely to go back to consulting.
I’d evaluate carefully on the day to day you would have as a chief of staff - is it more coordination or having soft power and influencing critical decisions?
