I am a Chartered accountant and truth be told given the current times CA is a really low incentive education any potent person can get. Today I see engineers barely with a few years of experience earning lakhs per month. Whereas me despite being in the right place at the right time is working hard 10-11 hours each day even today. We as a forebearers of this profession must really rise together

I just finished a big jury trial with a senior partner (SP). There were co-parties w/separate counsel. SP mentally checked out, to the point that co-counsel was asking what SP was doing/if SP was okay. I ended up handling most everything. SP did a few parts but went rogue and did things that were offensive/risky/bad for client. It became clear that SP is not performing like SP used to and may be a liability. Do I tell someone at my firm? Don’t want to offend SP or cause drama, but I’m concerned.

Just like every other guy, it’s my dream to settle in the USA or any equivalent location. My problem is that I am not confident enough. I started preparing for CAT, failed miserably. I was demotivated. My job started paying me good money so I blindly upskilled myself technically. It’s been a while. One of my friend got offer from UHG (Optum) 3 months back as contractor at 8.5lpa his previous salary was 5lpa, now within 3 month he got offer to be a permanent employee in UHG (Optum) , how much hike he should demand (or is it even ok to demand ?)
