Ours is based on what the bottom line for our firm is - we have a small, but very successful PI firm and the attorney is super generous. 4 paralegals total - we get bonuses 2x a year and they usually total around $15k-25k per paralegal. No billable hours! Still waiting on that Erin Brockovich moment tho!

like

I only get a bonus once a year and it’s $2k. That’s if I meet my billables and then it’s also counted as a Christmas bonus. So $1k for billables and $1k for Christmas. But everyone at my firm gets either $1k or $2k on the staff.

Must be nice, I dont get any bonuses. The most Ive got was $200 and a gift card

My year end “discretionary” is 10-15k if I hit 1750.

P1- $145 base. We are in high steaks litigation and they definitely take care of us. 🙏🏻

My firm had end of year bonuses that the partners just made up but were always pretty generous. I got $10k last year and was told it was one of the highest while being the second most profitable paralegal. I did corporate work. A litigation paralegal also got $10k. She didn’t have as high receivables but she doubles as the billing manager so different parameters. Other years when I did marketing I got anywhere from $1k-$5k.

At my first firm that was ID, bonuses were based on years at the firm but the highest was still only in the hundreds before taxes.

EOY $8-9k based on company performance

I am writing this message besides the staff group of EY GDS. Specifically Staff -1 at assurance level. I would request everyone to spare few minutes and read it -

Wanted to bring out that staff-1's are paid peanuts (3.33L CTC) please don't expect them to slog 12-13 hours. They don't have enough motivation or incentives to work that long. Seniors,AM's and Managers should be more kind and explain the work to them clearly rather than making last minute changes.

I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

Just received a formal offer from Deloitte Consulting as a SC in Strategy & Analytics. Base is $125K, no sign-on bonus. This isn’t much of an increase from what I’m making now. Haven’t reached out to negotiate yet and the recruiter has been pretty quick on the phone so far. I’m coming from a smaller firm, 8 YOE, mainly data analytics and cloud. Any insight or tips how to navigate for increased base?

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

Hey, does anyone work for Jacobowitz Newman Tversky? Would love to know more about the office and culture .

I’m interviewing with another firm next week. Has anyone made a switch like that before? How did you do it? I work in a small criminal firm now. Interview is with a same size/practice area firm.

So I’ve been with a court for a while and honestly the pay sucks compared to what paralegals should be making… the benefits are great though and they match my retirement 100% now that I’m vested at 3 years.I have 4 kids and 1 is getting ready for college. I feel like the benefits are great but I’d rather make more now. I am a previous LEO for 4 years who switched to paralegal so I have my leo retirement. Paralegals here make $28 with no benefits what is a good compromise
