Hello people of San Diego! Would love to hear how y’all are affording to live here comfortably. Please state your company, position, TC, YOE, and do you have a side hustle? I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. I’d like to “make it” here but if it means switching career to make money I’d like to get an idea to make the right job change.

1) Yes, our salaries are in line with B4. Happy to discuss specifics with the skeptics.
2) We are one of the few firms still actively hiring people without FDD experience.
3) Our WLB is miles better than B4.
4) Yes, we are paying strong referral bonuses because our practice has literally doubled in the past year.
5) All of the above is due to a strong pipeline and significant growth within the practice.

How easy is it to switch from SAP TM consulting to a product based role? What kinds of roles do you suggest?

I am only 4 months into being a surgical coordinator. I love the position itself however I am struggling to adapt into my new work environment. My position puts me in a place where I need to interact with my new coworkers but they are not as welcoming as I expected. There is also another surgical coordinator however I have come to find from other staff that there is a long history of her running other staff away and not fully training other surgical coordinator staff properly. Round 1: HR round. cleared.

Round 2: Hiring manager round. Went well.

After 2 weeks they said Role no longer available. It was L5 supply chain role. This happened in April. Can I apply again in Amazon?
