I think for that package, you should know backend too.
I am giving interviews for both roles with similar experience(with similar cctc) and targeting a similar range.
But i started with 24-26L as initial offer than as the NP day is coming <30days i started saying my np is 15days. Don't declare everyone your official np is 60days. Say it is 30 days (as your ex colleague had resigned last mont) and once offer is fixed i will resign.
I believe you should know the concepts. Basic REST CRUD, API design, SQL, basic system design, and tools like Docker and Redis are fine; you just need to know the concepts. Each takes a maximum of half a day to cover. This will make your profile stand out. Your resume should be at least 20% backend, so when the time comes, you can take over—that's what recruiters are telling me.
Yeah! I started my development journey as a backend developer. I know redis, docker, CI/CD in Azure as well as AWS. I know elastic search. I know mongodb indexing, sharding concept.
To polish them I have started to create some projects by my own.
and yes, one of my friend told me a trick to say you are serving a notice period and say 17th is your last. You will get a job calls and I am getting 5 to 6 calls a day and luckily got 2 interview in getting 30 LPA. Now I am pretty enough confident that I would get it.

Resign before a offer?
Yeah it is a 2 months notice period. Is that a mistake?
In the current market it's very different to get 30 LPA only in frontend. So go with full stack where frontend primary.
Naah everywhere i see frontend roles particularly next js more n more than pure be or be heavy fullstack.
