Lounges have historically been great for getting away from the large crowds to work or just decompress. They have become a lot more crowded due to credit card perks that allow the recipients to also use the lounge. It’s not really a factor of how long your flight will be but more so what you wanna do ahead of any flight you take.
I agree with that. The plus is to get away from the crowd and not to have to work from a restaurant.
It depends with which airline…BA’s lounge is not worth it anymore, however their new business class is pretty good. Can’t compare it with the likes of Emirates, Qatar or Etihad. They have amazing product and lounges. I never flew first class, hence I can’t speak about that.
My wife took advantage of a credit card offer that allowed not only her but up to 8 authorized users access to Americans Admirals Club. When shared with our 2 adult kids its really a nice inexpensive travel hack. It's easily pays for itself with comp adult beverages, food, clean restroom and comfortable lounge that beats waiting in crowded gate area with all the masses. Admirals Club members can also visit partner airline lounges, but that doesn't extend to authorized users only the actual member... in my case my wife.
I just had my first experience in a lounge before a 2 hour flight. It was nice to grab a drink and a meal before takeoff, for free!
I would say yes if you’re getting it through a credit card as a benefit.. so you can maximize your annual fee.
