Got promoted for L4 , SIM has been raised for me. Manager and L5 approvals given. HM said its in process and will take sometime. Can someone tell me how long will this process take. Its already been 2 weeks and didn’t get any mail.

Those of you who are now successful but grew up lower middle class or poor how do you deal with the guilt of your parents still working crappy jobs and getting paid nothing. I can’t financially support them yet but I feel guilty. It’s hard to not always think about them or how to help them. I feel guilty when I buy something nice, travel, or just the comfort of working from home. I hide it well but it’s hard when I feel nobody around me relates.

I joined a company 3 weeks ago. There’s a manager at work who is cold to me for absolutely no reason. I interacted w her once, she wasn’t friendly but we managed to talk about things outside of work for 20 mins. For context, we’re both brown in a majority white team. She’s nice to everyone else. General incivility: she avoids conversation w me and goes to the person next to me, doesn’t smile (smirks) when we make eye contact, will say good morning to everyone but me. How do I approach this situ?

How have other people dealt with being the only woman on their team? I’m currently the only female on a team of 18 engineers. I’m treated as an equal and I love my team. It’s literally just that I’m the only woman and I find it kind of hard to relate to some of my coworkers. I’ve already talked to my manager about hiring more women (discussed this when the only other woman left the team for a team that was more balanced) but we can’t just put out an ad saying “women please apply”, y’know?

SPS RCO SAM is a prison

Recently I moved to this team, things were going fine and now they BLOCKED Tampermonkey script/google translate/Retail assistant/any extension usage across all browsers in my laptop . Apparently it is blocked by administrator for all the RCO employees. They have blocked it stating 'security reasons'.
I don't understand what they wanna accomplish by doing all this, are Amazon's security walls so fragile that they need to implement these measures?
