I’ve been working as a contractor for 3 years renewed 6 times and they’ve been promising me a promotion to be hired full time for a while now without a raise. Finally I’m getting hired as a full time employee with benifits. One of the benefits is an annual bonus of 16%. This is 20k which is a lot of money for me. I’m devastated that I was told that I missed the cut off to qualify for the annual bonus by just 2 weeks. I’m told my start date is Monday, but I have yet to receive any paperwork.

I am currently on resignation with a bunch of offers. So I've to make decision specifically in regards with :
JPMC : 20 LPA (Fixed) and 3.9 LPA variable+benefits
Legato :. 24 LPA all fixed along 1 Lakh of benefits like free cab, shift allowance, free health insurance etc.

Apparently responding to “What’s your worst pregnancy symptom?” with “People telling me their traumatic birth stories” is an unacceptable answer.

I’m 16 weeks pregnant and haven’t told anybody at work. My team is organizing an out of town networking event next week (60+ people) and I’m getting second thoughts about attending (mostly because of covid or any other virus I could get by flying in or attending). Neither my husband nor I are good with change and when my husband and I went for the ultrasound he nervously asked "she's too sick to eat anything other than her vitamins and water, is it ok for her and the baby to go without?" Our doctor just smiled and replied "don't worry, baby takes" I don't know why but that was so funny to us. It kind of became our mantra as we navigate and move our life around that "baby takes," its made it feel more Us vs Change rather than Me vs Him. Thought I'd share
