Day 1 I cleared HR round with company A and they provided 45% hike. But they didn't release offer immediately.

Meanwhile after 1 week, I have received offer from company B with 75%. Then I approached company A with current offer and they revised upto 87%(1st offer company A)
Can I get counter from company B ( which provided 75% offer)?
Then using that revised offer from company A, can I approach again company A?
I prefer to join company A.

Some have mentored me here and there, but they seem uninterested in really discussing my prospects for moving up /growing. I don't know if they just lack power in firm management, or if they lack enthusiasm about me. Should I ask my top pick if he will look out for me? If I feel like I have to ask, it's a no, right?
