It really does depend entirely on what components and integrations your company buys into because project management systems in most places are add-on systems that often aren’t fully integrated with their finance systems. And if the project budget & timesheet systems are not integrated into the PM software, you’ll only ever have half your project picture from it.
Also, those platforms will only be as good as the agency effort in rolling the platform out properly. And unfortunately—agencies are often rolling these out in aggressive timelines under pressures for efficiency in operations without considering a more efficient (& ultimately successful) rollout is one that allows the runway needed to nail it at the start rather than limp along through 3 or 4 years of failing adoption & resistance.
Oh, I’ve seen a variey of them at different companies. That’s why I was curious if any stand out in the community.
Some I recall as faves are Wrike and Kantata.
